Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi was born on 19 July 1971 in Gurdaspur, Punjab. He married Kuljit Kaur, with whom he has a daughter and a son.
Gurpreet’s career began with his arrival in several dramatic plays. In the 1990s, he once had his huge success on television, when he was cast in a comic series called Raunak Mela. Subsequently, Gurpreet played leading roles in a soap serial called Parichavan, playing a serious role, as well as in several shows, including Ghuggi On-line and Ghuggi Express.
Gurpreet Ghuggi garnered worldwide acclaim with comic leading roles through his videos Ghuggi Shu Mantar and Ghuggi Junction, before making his film debut as Patwari Jhilmil Singh in the film titled Asa Nu Mana Wana Da was. He also appeared in a film titled Carry on Jatta and was highly praised for his leading role in the film Amardas.
In addition to acting in Punjabi films, Gurpreet Ghuggi has acted in several Canadian and Bollywood cinema films such as Breakaway and Singh is King. He gained immense fame in India through his contributions to The Great Indian Laughter Challenge, which aired on Star One, a television reality show. Later, Gurpreet Ghuggi starred in Star One’s reality show Hans Baliye with his wife named Kuljit Kaur and eventually won the competition.
