While Diljit Dosanjh Coachella’s performance created a lot of buzzes, as he was the first Punjabi artist to perform at this international event, his second gig created headlines for the wrong reasons.
A video of the event is going viral on social networks. In it, during his performance he says in Punjabi: “eh Punjabi bhain Bhraawan Layi, mere Desh da Jhanda Laike Khadi aa Kudi, eh desh layi”
Many misunderstood Diljit Dosanjh’s statement and started to troll him. One netizen asked, “As a musician, how did he get into the USA without an Indian passport or US visa?” Another netizen wrote: “We should stop wasting our money on his show… it’s that simple.”
