In recent years, everything has become digital as technology advances, giving birth to virtual assets and parallel spaces such as non-fungal tokens (NFTs) and the metaverse. This year, Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi has become the first Indian to perform and has his place in the Indian version of Metaverse ‘Names It Balle Balle Land’.
Yes, you read that right! ‘Balle Balle Land’ is India’s own metaverse and, as the website itself points out, is a digital parallel universe powered by blockchain.
This virtual has been created by Hyderabad-based game studio Gametronics, the platform that allows people to play digital collections, also called NFTs, to make Metaverse more interactive.
On March 18, 2022 (Holi event in India) the ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’ singer inaugurated his land at Metavars, which he named ‘Balle Balle Land’. It has only a few months ago that henna had applied on the stage on Republic Day this year. You can watch his video shares on Daler Mehndi Instagram handle.

According to Mehndi’s post, ‘Bale Bale Land’ has a paintball section as well as a ‘Mehndi Store’. Space will also host future events and music festivals. Let’s not forget the unusual statue of the singer at the entrance!
Not just Mehndi, the music label T-Series also announced its debut in Metaveres in January this year in partnership with Hungama TV. As part of the deal, Hungama will produce NFTs from a vast catalog of new and existing Bollywood content offered by T-Series.
