Apart from this, the Chief Minister of Punjab Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi inaugurated Punjab Film City In Mukaronpur Village. The foundation stone for Film City in Punjab under the Invest Punjab and Business First Government Initiative.
PFC World Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. will construct Film City at village Mukronpur on Fatehgarh Sahib-Mohali Road and it will cover 400 acres of land!. This is good news for Punjab directors and content creators.
Addressing the people, the Chief Minister said that films were a great way to inspire society. What is done in films has a great impact on the youth. Iqbal Singh Cheema, Executive Director, PTC Entertainment World Pvt. Ltd. said that the Punjabi film and music industry has developed in recent years. The Punjabi film and music industry will establish a permanent base near Chandigarh. All facilities will be provided to the artists here.

However, this is not the first time that a Film City has been planned in the Punjab region. Ropar Film City was inaugurated by Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal in December 2017.
